DIKETANKS II
The "Original DikeTank", "Cylindrical DikeTank" and the "Larger Double Walled Tanks" are all built as tanks within tanks. All of these designs require that a pump tube be placed through one of the openings in the tank top and that a pump tube with a "foot valve" be used for draining. Both the "DikeTank II and the "Flooded Suction DikeTank" are made so that an opening can be made in the bottom of the tank and the product will empty into the pump tube, thus keeping it full and eliminating the problems resulting from the loss of prime.
Even though one of the major benefits of the "Original DikeTank" and "Cylindrical DikeTank" was that the dike was sealed off from the world and could not be used as a trash container by passers by, some of our customers still had applications that required that the tank be drained from the bottom. In 1987 Bulk Systems, Inc. caved in to these requests and designed the "DikeTank II" line of tanks and dikes. This line consists of a vertical polyethylene tank sitting inside of a rectangular polyethylene dike. The top of the dike is radius cut around the tank and there is enough room inside of the dike to place
the pump.

FLOODED SUCTION DIKETANKS
The "Flooded Suction DikeTank" is the latest addition to the Bulk Systems, Inc. family of double walled polyethylene tanks. The new design allows for flooded suction because draining is done from a sump in the bottom of the tank which is surrounded by a cradle/dike. A pump stand is located out in front of the dike to give easy accessibility and yet if the pump or the pump lines were to leak the contents would fall into the cradle/dike.
To top it off the "Flooded Suction DikeTank" is stackable two high allowing for significant space savings if needed. Visible inventory, flooded suction, convenient location of the pump and stackability all in one unit.
In this design only, we have made the dike out of a light blue colored material. Material is still virgin polyethylene. The tank remains natural milky white color and has no pigments
in it.

STAINLESS STEEL DIKE TANKS
We have found that many of our customers need to use stainless steel tanks. To accommodate them we have engineered our own design using either 304 or 316 stainless steel, a large 18" dia. removable cover, 2--2" threaded fittings in the cover and, a 1" - 316 stainless steel valve on the bottom for a drain. If needed, we can also supply the bubble type using a float inside of the tank or the KENCO type which shows the level of liquid through a glass tube mounted on the tank front. The design that we have chosen uses the square tank placed inside of a rectangular shaped dike. The dike has a shelf inside and towards the front that is 12" x 12" for the pump.
